Yard Truck Specialists was founded in 1983 on a commitment to provide the highest quality products and service to its customers with the goal of becoming the yard truck equipment company-of-choice in the market that we serve. Our continued focus on that commitment has made Yard Truck Specialists a leader in OTTAWA Yard truck / Terminal Tractor equipment sales and support. Since our inception, Yard Truck Specialists has earned the OTTAWA—KALMAR Presidents award for Parts Sales for the last 15 years and the “Director’s” award for achieving $1 Million in parts sales each year from 2004 through 2007. Our commitment to total customer satisfaction has also earned us a consistent spot in the TOP 3 truck sales dealers by the factory. In 2007 Yard Truck Specialists, Inc. became part of the H&K Equipment Group who, likewise, shared the same focus with the equipment and service that they sell and support. The H&K Equipment Group specializes in small to very heavy material handling forklifts ranging from 3,500 pounds to 110,000 pounds lifting capacity, railcar moving equipment, electric powered steel coil tractors, industrial floor sweeper / scrubber cleaning equipment, and container handling equipment. With one of the largest heavy lifting capacity forklift rental fleets in the United States and a very similar customer base, the synergies between H&K Equipment and Yard Truck Specialists couldn’t be better. Today, Yard Truck Specialists has grown to more than twenty five people and we support thousands of customers throughout the world with OTTAWA and other yard truck products.
